The following are screen shots from the Conseco Finance
Home Improvement online loan application. Consumers
accessed the application from the Conseco Finance
Home Improvement website or from the website of an affiliate,
such as Menards, Sutherlands, etc.
The application was presented in an interview style
that allowed the consumer to complete it one section
at a time, much like products such as Intuit's®
Consumers were allowed to move their way through
the application in a linear fashion. Each page was
listed on the left with a color code that told the
consumer the pages they had visited, the current page,
and the pages that were yet to be completed.
It provided field validation by presenting error
messages on a confirmation page at the end of the
process before submission. Upon submission, the application
data was sent as an email to a recipient for processing.
